Stages of obtaining a residence permit:
- Preparing business materials (about three weeks)
- Searching for an incubator and receiving a letter of support from it (2-4 months)
- Submitting the project to the French Ministry of Economy (fully online in the country of residence or citizenship) and waiting for a decision (1-2 months). Submission on the portal: https://www.demarches-simplifiees.fr/commencer/french-tech-visa-for-founders
- Obtaining a long-term visa D (2-5 months)
- Obtaining a residence permit on the type of Passport-Talent. Filing online from the territory of France, (2-4 months)
After 5 years of residence in France, you can apply for a passport.

As business materials need to be shown:
- Pitch deck;
- Form for answering incubators' questions;
- Materials for individual incubators' requests (market analysis, financial model, etc.).
- Innovative - i.e. built on the basis of new advanced technologies;
- Scalable - i.e. has the potential for rapid growth in French markets, other markets in Europe and globally;
- Recognized by an accredited player in the French ecosystem (e.g. incubator).
- Approved by the French Ministry of Economy
From an idea to a working business
- Certificate from an international bank for the amount of at least 20 thousand euros for the main applicant + approximately 10 thousand euros for each family member;
- Online form of the specialized department of the French Ministry of Economy;
- Marriage certificate (if there is a husband/wife) and notarized translation into French;
- Birth certificate for children (if there are children under 18) and notarized French translation;
- A letter of support for the project from or contract with the facilitator;
- Official letter of approval of the project from the specialized agency of the French Ministry of Economy;
- Completed application form for a long-term D visa:
- 2 photos;
- Funds to pay the consular and visa fees;
- Other documents that the French Consulate has the right to request
- A scan of the passport with entry stamps for France;
- A document confirming the fact of registration of the address of residence in France;
- Digital photo (taken on the territory of France):
- A document confirming the fact that you have health insurance that covers the risks in France
