The process of obtaining a residence permit can be divided into several stages:
- Gathering documents and preparing business materials (one month on average).
- Flying to Spain and submitting the application online. If the necessary documents are prepared in advance, the submission from the territory of Spain can be done in a few days. Then you can either stay in Spain during the entire application process or fly back.
- Waiting for approval of the business plan (about 3 months).
- Fingerprinting and getting a residence permit card (about 2 months).
After 10 years of residence in Spain, you can apply for a passport. After 5 years for permanent residence.
REQUIREMENTS
- No EU citizenship
- Over 18 years old
- No criminal record
- Professional experience that will be combined with the business plan of the startup
- Ability to enter Spain (any Schengen for any period of time)
- Sufficient financial resources to live in Spain for 12 months. Need to show one Spanish living wage (Spain's Public Multiple Effects Income Indicator - IPREM). For the year 2023, this is 30,240 euros. For each family member you need to show an additional amount: +75% for the first, 25% for each subsequent family member.
- Have a stake in the project of at least 5% (at least this is required to be indicated in the business plan).
Only the business plan needs to be shown as business materials
- The project is innovative
- The project has benefits for the Spanish economy
- There is potential for scaling
- There should be no more than 5 applicants (cofounders) in the team
- Projects are considered from the idea stage to the stage where the business is already operational
- Business plan;
- Completed application form;
- Certificate of no criminal record with apostille and notarized translation into Spanish, issued by the country of residence or residence where the entrepreneur has lived for more than 6 months in the last two years and declaration of no criminal record from the countries where he has lived in the last 5 years;
- Scan of passport with all pages;
- Bank statement (non-Russian and non-Belarusian) showing that the entrepreneur's account has at least 30,400 euros for the main applicant;
- Spanish health insurance;
- Marriage certificate (if available) with apostille and notarized Spanish translation;
- Declaration of the preservation of family ties with the marriage partner;
- Birth certificate of children (if any) with apostille and notarized Spanish translation;
- Proof of payment of filing fee with NRC number.
- Scan of all pages of the passport;
- Entry declaration (if second time entry, if there is one - it is not a particularly obligatory document);
- Paid state duty (In original. Photos and photocopies are not allowed);
- Photo (A 3x4 photo is a recent 32x26 millimeter color photograph of the applicant's face on a solid white background, taken from the front with the head completely uncovered and without dark glasses or any other clothing that could interfere with or make it difficult to identify the face. It is done almost everywhere, and everyone usually knows the size);
- Residence card + photocopy;
- Completed forms (in printed form);
- Approval (printed).
ADDITIONAL COSTS AT THE STAGE OF APPLYING FOR A RESIDENCE PERMIT
